I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed the whole webolution.  Thanks so much!!

Give us more, please.  I would like to see some kid related stuff in the future that would help with the job of serving those little rascals.

Now I am finished and better get this place cleaned up and organized.

Fun!!  It might be worth it to pay for the extra features.

The girlfriends.

Yes, I know I skipped #21 but will get back to it from home where I have photos to play with.

In the meantime, I am so hungry and Tastespotting has the best photos of food I have ever seen.  Do they taste as good as they look?  Whowza, Tangy tomatillo soup and Ginger pound cake with dark chocolate glaze.

Crooks and Liars.  Arggh.  There are a lot of crazy peeps out there.

In Lifehacker I found

Eat Breakfast Like an Olympian with “Super” Oatmeal

Now I am really hungry but oatmeal for supper?  It does have chocolate, though.

Some of my favorite blogs are:

http://angrychicken.typepad.com/  which has lots of fun food and crafts.

http://cookingupastory.com/  An online television show about people food and sustainable living.  Real people producing food, which is what I do with my family.

New York Times also has some good blogs about current issues and food, of course and again. e.g. http://bitten.blogs.nytimes.com/

http://www.dressaday.com/dressaday.html  Erin, the web goddess here, also is a dictionary person and may be seen at http://www.wordnik.com/

I have to stop this addiction to blogs is going to take over my life.

Mesa County Health Department as a Travel Immunization Clinic with links to the CDC and US State Department for information on what immunizations you need to get to travel in the world.  Appointments need to be made 4 – 6 weeks in advance of travel for shots.  There is lots of information about all kinds of health issues at this site.  A good one.

Mesa County’s maps leave something to be desired, however.  It would be nice if they used something like google maps.

Our own Bernie Buscher is the Secretary of State and his smiling mug is on the home page.  I have used this site before to help people find a way to file a business document and see there is lots of other useful information. I would especially like to obtain a certificate of good standing.

I looked at the Town of Collbran site, http://www.townofcollbran.us/index.html, and saw they  have meeting minutes and schedules with a little history thrown in.  Unfortunately it doesn’t seem to be kept up to date.  Best of all they have a link to the Mesa County Library website.  Yeah!!

Social Security has a link to Medicare which I must apply for three months before my 65th birthday next summer.  Ugh, life has gone by so fast.  Looks like there is lots of info that I should read so I know what is what.

Yeah!!  100, a perfect score.  I have been using the wiki a lot more recently but this was a good reminder of all that is there.  Thanks.

Something I want for my kitchen.

That was easy once I followed the directions.  Should have done that sooner and I would have saved time.  I don’t know if I would use this as I don’t seem to have trouble pasting the huge urls.

Have been tryig to convert a video from the NY Times about the Roan Plateau but it will not support it.  Ditto Pumpkin Pie.  What am I doing wrong?  Does this only support music videos?  I am going to try again from home.

This is fun.

Just read on Library Bytes, the people who came up with the ideas behind webolution, some interesting stuff about the Kindle and its competition.  Several people who come to the library have Kindles and seem to love them.  How are all the e-readers going to fit into our library world?

Then at Learn-gasm, the 100 best blogs, I (sort of) randomly chose number 45 as that is the year in which I was born.  Yikes, I can’t bring myself to type the title of it but has a bunch of humorous ranting about patrons ranting.   Humorous if they didn’t happen to you.

This was a fun place and I did bookmark it.  Too much good stuff.  Wish I had more time but those pesky patrons keep coming in to use the library.

I opened Open Office and tried it out.  It is nice that it is free but from my point of view I would rather stick with what we have than try out new program.  If we change to this program, however, I would have not trouble using it.

Nice for someone to be able to get a program like this for no $$.

Yeah!  This is fun and really easy to use.  I am always finding something I want to save, for example sewing ideas, and then can’t find them.  I emailed myself a skirt pattern and posted some info on a future vacation to this blog.

Books are next and this blog, after we are done with webo, will be a good spot to save things.

My next dream vacation.

Grand Portage Isle Royale Transportation Line… A Family Legacy.

Isle Royale National Park is a rich historical location, settled by native
American copper miners long before the days of Christopher Columbus. In the late
1800’s, it became the home of numerous commercial fishing families, many of whom
were Scandinavian and German immigrants.

The Isle Royale archipelago, extending over 50 miles, is the “eye” of Lake
Superior. The main island is 45 miles long and 8 miles wide, covering over
571,790 acres, most of which is back country wilderness. Isle Royale National
Park was authorized in 1931, and in 1980 was designated a biosphere reserve. It
is currently home to an amazing abundance of wildlife, including wolves, moose,
fox, beaver, gulls, cormorants, loons, ducks, otters, eagles and rare plants.
